Lodging & Facilities: Camp Penn

Camp Penn is the modern name of a site that began life as an iron forge (its’ mailing address is Old Forge Rd”) and in the 1930s, was the site of Civilian Conservation Corps Camp 70. Some of the buildings still date from the CCC. For the past few decades, it has been leased from PA by the Methodist Church. They run a Christian children’s summer camp programs there during the summer. Other groups can rent it in the spring and fall before and after the peak camping season. It is closed during the winter. Overall, the camp still retains the look and atmosphere of the 1930's and it is not difficult to imagine yourself in a period environment.

There are modern and well-maintained bathrooms and showers.

Full Disclosure: The Methodists forbid alcohol and tobacco on the camp grounds. You can however walk off the camp ground to enjoy tobacco and there are taverns nearby.
